The music video of ‘Mr. Simple’ (released on August 4th) ranked 5th on YouTube Chart's ‘The Most Viewed Videos’ of this month (July 27th ~ August 26th) and it proved global fans’ intense interest in Super Junior. 

Especially, Super Junior is the only Korean artist to be included in the top 10 among outstanding foreign pop stars such as Lady Gaga, Kanye West, etc. so it is good enough to prove Super Junior’s high status as the leader of Korean Wave. 

Also, the music video of ‘Mr. Simple’ ranked in first place for this month’s (July 27 ~ August 26) ‘The Most Viewed Videos,’ ‘The Most Commented Videos’ and ‘The Most Favorited Videos’ on the YouTube Chart in Korea as well so Super Junior has been receiving enthusiastic responses from music fans.  

Moreover, Super Junior won the first place for three consecutive weeks on both ‘M.net Mcountdown’ (25th) and ‘KBS Music Bank’ (26th) and proved their tremendous popularity.

‘Mr. Simple’ Replaces ‘BONAMANA’ Which Ranked at Number One for Sixty-Three Consecutive Weeks!

Super Junior proved their status as the most famous star in Asia by ranking the first with their 5th album ‘Mr. Simple’ in Taiwan as well as in Korea.

Super Junior’s 5th album title song, ‘Mr. Simple,’ took the first place on both daily and weekly charts of KKBOX Korean Music TOP 100 Chart, which is the biggest online music website in Taiwan, with only quantity of imports. In addition, all the songs from the 5th album entered the top ranking as well.  

Especially, Super Junior ranked the 1st for sixty-three consecutive weeks from the 1st week of June, 2010 to the 2nd week of August, 2011 with the 4th album’s title song, ‘BONAMANA’ and this is the longest record in the history of KKBOX’s chart. Super Junior replaced ‘BONAMANA’ with ‘Mr. Simple’ as the new No.1 and once again proved the fever of Super Junior who is sweeping Taiwan with ‘Mr. Simple’ following ‘SORRY, SORRY’ and ‘BONAMANA.’ 

Even though this album has not been officially licensed in Taiwan yet, it took the first place on the Korean/Japanese album part of count chart for album sales (announced by ‘FIVE MUSIC’ which is a large chain store for album) for two consecutive weeks (August 5th ~ August 18th) and has been receiving an intense interest from local music fans. 

In addition, Super Junior has been gaining popularity by ranking the 1st on various album weekly charts in Korea (Hanteo Chart, Hot Tracks, etc.) for three consecutive weeks and music programs as well ('‘Mnet Mcountdown,’ ‘KBS Music Bank,’ ‘SBS Inkigayo,' etc.).

Meanwhile, Super Junior’s 5th album ‘Mr. Simple’ will be officially released in Taiwan on September 2nd.

Heechul Doesn't Want to Have any Noisy Event.

A member of Super Junior, Heechul, will join the army on September 1st. 

Heechul will enter the army training center in Nonsan, Choongnam to receive basic military training for four weeks then he will be serving as a public service worker for 23 months afterwards. 

Much interest of domestic and foreign media and fans has been focused on Heechul who has been gaining global popularity as a member of Super Junior. However, any official event will not be held for Heechul on the day of his enlistment since he doesn’t want to have any noisy event.  

Also, as Heechul has been performing with Super Junior’s 5th album ‘Mr. Simple’ and  working as a TV show host for ‘MBC Gold Fishery-Radio Star,’ ‘KBS Declaration of Freedom Saturday-Secret,’ etc. he has been much loved. Therefore, he is scheduled to continue working before joining the army. 

Meanwhile, Super Junior will release the B version of the 5th album ‘Mr. Simple’ which includes new song, ‘SUPERMAN,’ on August 22nd (for today) and continue performing with the 5th album title song, ‘Mr. Simple’ and ‘SUPERMAN.’

“조용히 입대하고 싶다” 밝혀

슈퍼주니어 멤버 김희철이 오는 9월 1일 입대한다.

김희철은 9월 1일 충남 논산 육군훈련소에 입소해 4주간의 기초군사훈련을 받은 후, 23개월 동안 공익근무요원으로 복무할 예정이다.

슈퍼주니어가 글로벌한 인기를 누리고 있는 만큼, 이번 김희철의 입대 현장에는 국내외 언론과 팬들의 관심이 집중되겠지만, 조용히 입대하고 싶다는 본인의 의사에 따라 당일 현장에서 별도의 행사는 진행되지 않는다.

또한 김희철은 슈퍼주니어 정규 5집 ‘Mr.Simple’ 활동을 비롯해 MBC ‘황금어장-라디오스타’, KBS ‘자유선언 토요일-시크릿’ 등의 MC로도 활약하며 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 만큼, 입대 전까지 활동을 지속할 계획이다.

한편, 슈퍼주니어는 22일(오늘) 신곡 ‘SUPERMAN’ 음원 공개와 더불어 정규 5집 ‘Mr.Simple’의 B버전을 새롭게 출시하며, 5집 타이틀 곡 ‘Mr.Simple’과 ‘SUPERMAN’으로 활발한 활동을 이어나갈 예정이다.

Version B of Super Junior’s 5th album will be released on the 22nd of this month.

New song ‘SUPERMAN’ is included in the Version B with 12 songs which were already included in version A so the album is enough to present charms and various music styles of Super Junior.

New song ‘SUPERMAN’ is a minimalism Hip-Hop song which claims to support S.M.P. The melody is formed with lower register sound so the flow of the song is very impressive. The Lyric presents Super Junior’s passion and attitude for the music and stages with humorous expressions so it doubles the interest of the song.

In addition, album jacket of version B is designed in different style from version A. If the jacket of version A showed surprising changes of Super Junior, jacket of version B presents the masculine and powerful images of Super Junior, so it’s predicted to receive tremendous responses from music fans.
